Covid-19 Terms & Conditions

As with the transmission of any communicable disease like a cold or the flu, you may be exposed to COVID-19, also known as “Coronavirus,” at any time or in any place. Sugar Drop implements all state and local mandates and regulations currently in effect respecting COVID-19 in an effort to reduce the likelihood of spreading COVID-19 in its store; however, Sugar Drop cannot guarantee that you or your child(ren) will not become infected with COVID-19. Furthermore, attending an activity at Sugar Drop could increase your risk and your child(ren)’s risk of contracting COVID-19.

By signing this agreement, I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and assume the risk that my child(ren) and I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by attending any Sugar Drop activity. I voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury to my child(ren) or myself (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that I or my child(ren) may experience or incur in connection with my child(ren)’s attendance at Sugar Drop’s store (“Claims”).

On my behalf, and on behalf of my child(ren), I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless Sugar Drop, its employees, agents, and representatives, from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto.

Student Event Contract

Sugar Drop Event Policies:

• Final guest count due no later than 4 days prior to your event. If your number decreases after providing your final guest count will still be responsible for paying for your previous final guest count.
• $100.00 nonrefundable retainer due at the time of booking. Final balance is due the day of service based upon actual number of guests but not less than the final guest count.
• If your number increases the day of the event, we cannot guarantee we will be able to accommodate any additional guests. If we can accommodate, you will be charged an additional $25.00 per person plus their headcount fee.
• Please contact Sugar Drop at your earlier opportunity if your final number has increased, and we will do our best to accommodate.
• You are welcome to take photos throughout your event, but we DO NOT allow videoing to be done during the instructional teaching portion of your event.
• For students age 7 and under, we ask parents to not stand at the table with the students during the instructional portion to allow staff to be able to provide hands on assistance and walk around quickly.
• Please remember that Sugar Drop is a business, not a playground. We ask that you control any children acting out. Our instructors are trained professionals, not babysitters. We reserve the right to ask students or parents who are unable to adhere to our policies or who are causing damage to our property to leave.
• Do not allow any students to go unsupervised in any area of Sugar Drop during or after your event. You will be held responsible for any damage caused to merchandise.

Ages 5 to 10 Suggested Themes:

• Crazy for Candy – Guests will decorate a vintage candy inspired cake after a lesson in basic buttercream piping, and fondant work and will enjoy making and eating candy kabobs while working.
   
• Flower Garden – Guests will learn basic piping and fondant rolling to create a garden inspired creation.
• Mermaid Tails– For this underwater adventure we will work with fondant and buttercream to create mermaid inspired cake topped with a fondant tail.
• Crazy for Unicorns – Guests will learn basic piping and fondant rolling, cutting and painting to create a unicorn inspired mini cake.
• Cool Kitty! - Guests will create an sweet kitty complete with fondant ears and party glasses!
• Fox’s Tail! - Guests will create an edible fox face complete with ears and a flower crown.
• Gingerbread House! - Guests will each get a preassembled house, toppings, buttercream and everything needed to create a winter wonderland. Select Traditional or Unicorn Version
• Cake WARS! Ready for some friendly competition? You select the theme and we will provide all the essentials needed for guests to make their unique creations. Guests will submit their creations and your group will decide the winner.

Ages 11 and Older Suggested Themes:

• Ribbons & Ruffles & Bows, Oh My! - Guests will learn the ribbon buttercream technique and will create a fondant bow and ribbon roses to create a showstopper cake.
• Sweet Succulent! - an edible garden complete with candy rocks and edible sand.
• Potter World – Guests will create an edible book of monsters inspired by the childhood favorite Harry Potter series.
• Llama Time! – Guests will create a buttercream llama complete with fondant glasses, ears and party hat.
• Flower Bouquet – Guests will learn how to make several variations of fondant and buttercream flowers to create a mini floral bouquet cake.
• Crazy for Cookies! Guests can spend time creating 4 cookies with royal icing and sweet toppings
• Cake WARS! Ready for some friendly competition? You select the theme and we will provide all the essentials needed for guests to make their unique creations. Guests will submit their creations and your group will decide the winner.

• Cake WARS! Ready for some friendly competition? You select the theme and we will provide all the essentials needed for guests to make their unique creations. Guests will submit their creations and your group will decide the winner.
